Individuals and licensed and insured contractors that meet Section 3 income and residency requirements for the City of Aurora or Denver Metro Area may have an opportunity to submit an application for employment or a competitive bid for trades not already under contract for a new construction project located in Aurora.

Subcontractor inquiries must include a description of the responder’s business and specific construction trade to which the responder is wishing to submit a bid.
References, proof of adequate insurance, appropriate license(s) and certification of Section 3 status will be required prerequisites to bidding.
Only Section 3 Businesses and Residents need to submit inquiries.
A Section 3 Business is defined by City of Aurora a) a business owned by 51% or more Section 3 Residents or; b) a business whose total workforce of permanent full-time employees is comprised of at least 30% Section 3 Residents (including employees who were at any point in time within three years of their first date of employment with the business a Section 3 Resident).
A Section 3 Resident is defined by City of Aurora as a person residing within the City’s limits and earning less than 80% of area median income.
