2014 Trends in Project Management
February 20, 2014
There's simply nothing more exciting than taking on a new project. The bigger the better! But the state of the Project Management union is a changing beast. Projects develop, slowdown or even halt entirely due to changing economic conditions. As a company, our job is to study and understand the current conditions that affect where and how we build, which ultimately protects consumers, profit margins and our industry as a whole.
With the help of training and research company, ESI International, trends are beginning to emerge for 2014. Specifically, the forecast predicts higher demand for project management. lending to more growth in the building industry.
Gone are the days of average production and mediocre project management. Green building and LEED certification will continue to rise and the call for emergent companies exceling in this modicum will outpace their less environmentally concerned counterparts.
For consumers, those using companies to manage large and medium scale projects on their behalf can look forward to ever rising standards and quality as competition intensifies. Growth in building systems technologies will continue to revolutionize current practices, replacing older protocols.
Overall, a continual stability in the field and responsible, sustainable building will marry to birth a better future for project management. And that's something we can definitely get excited about.
